There is no surprise in me admitting to this being one of my all time favourite cocktails. I make these all the time and everyone who comes over for drinks always want these so I thought why not share the love and give you guys my recipe.

Welcome to my first cocktail blog post. As many cocktail lovers I am always looking for interesting recipes. A good cocktail is the first recipe for good company and a good evening. That being at a dinner party with friends and family or by simply enjoying me time on the sofa in front of a good series or film.
"I love water. Especially frozen into cubes and completely surrounded by tequila"
You don't need much to make this cocktail and once you have the different ingredients it makes plenty of cocktails for you to get your moneys worth.
Ingredients: This will make 4 cocktails
(If you want to make the cocktails stronger then add more shots, but remember the triple sec can be very strong!!)
x1/2 shots of Tequila (Any brand is fine)
x1 shot of triple sec (any brand is fine)
x1/2 shots of grenadine syrup (any brand is fine)
100g (2 cups) of ice cubes or crushed ice
one tin of strawberry (optional, but does make it more sweet)
tub of fresh strawberries
Half of a lime
Decoration:
Half a lime
suger (enough to cover the rim of the cocktail glasses)
couple of strawberries for garnish
Making the recipe:
To start add the ice cubes or crushed ice into a blender. Then add all the other ingredients. When the tequila, triple sec, grenadine syrup and tin of strawberries have been added wash and cut the fresh strawberries and also add them in.
Mix this all together and when it has a smooth consistency add the fresh lime juice and then give the mixture another mix.
Decoration:
using the other half of the fresh line cut half way down the already cut in half piece and place the lime over the top of the cocktail glass and cover the rim of the glass with the juice.
Using a small plate sprinkle the sugar all over
Turn the glass upside down and place on top of the plate - let the sugar stick to the lime juice and repeat this process until the rim of the glass if covered in the sugar.
Cut a line in one of the fresh strawberries and place on the side of the glass.
NOW YOU ARE READY TO POUR THE COCKTAIL MIX INTO THE GLASSES!! ENJOY
